Found myself drawing towards Paulaner's last night again. The german beer beckons. Had me the dark beer and wow I was satisfied with beer and german pizza. The pizza was done in a very nice way, thinly crusted and lotsa cheese atop. My friend Kitty had to have a full litre glass of light beer. Afterwhich she had another 1/2 litre of dark one. My friend's a drinking horse. She could go on a whole night of drinking these german beers and not feel anything....it's as if she is drinking water. The band was good. They mostly played tunes from the 70s and 80s. My kind of music. JD and Pete were with us and their 1st time at Paulaner's. They both simply adored the live music. The singer sang our requested song, 'without you' by Mariah Carey. Her voice was even better than Mariah's We had this joke going on in the office from viewing the bulgarian idol. The participants there were singing "Ken Lee" as in "I can't live" and a whole slew of weird english that they formulated in the idol song. We really had a blast singing along the chorus with the singer at Paulaner's. A group was celebrating like 3 or 4 people's birthday at the drinking place and they had a little mini cake that they took turns to blow out candles. Yeah was funny and hilarious especially when the band started playing the birthday song and asked the folks to sing along. Was almost 11pm and we had to call it a night cos' I had work to do next morning and Pete had dragonboat training for which he had to be up by 6.30am the next day.
Took a cab back to office and Pete gave Kit and me and lift home. Well another friday night well spent and made some meaning in working so hard the whole week.
Tomorrow's off to Langkawi on invitation by Msia PL91 team. Hope it will be fun and not boring.
In total we'd be spending 3 nights at the Langkawi Westin Hotel. Hopefully all 3 nights will be fun and fruitful One things's for sure, it's eary morning wakeup call for 8am breakfast every morning. Arhhhh....it's a chore to be waking up early morning....don't even do this when am home and only get up for work close to 8am. Oh well, can't complain too much, it's sponsored hotel stay + silk air tickets + all meals(restaurant) and best of all, 3 days don't really have to work.

Noise
Oh yeah, noise, it's all over. Why would people go to a club with music and scream their lungs out trying to converse, above all that musical noise. I was one of those people who went and spend much money going to a club just last week. Bearly any decent place to plonk your ass as you scan your eyes over the dimly lit place. The noise, yes the noise, it's blasting into your ears and your eyes are trying their best to see if there are places to rest your tired legs. No, not a place in sight.
And yet, you see a sofa empty of people but yet no ones ventures to sit on them. Arh....'reserved' plate atop the coffee table in front of the sofa. Oh well, what the heck, I am about to pay alot of money for a simple mug of beer, why not just plonk my tired ass on the unoccupied sofa. Who knows, people who 'reserved' those sofas may not show up. Non-stop music blarring in front of the audience and all you see are people leaning forward each other trying to hold a decent conversation. Singers came on stage to perform, some were good, some were awful. People everywhere with beer or some kind of alcoholic liquid on their hands, moving around leaning towards each other. I did the same too, leaning forward to speak and communicate. My lungs felt really painful screaming to be heard. Throat became dry from all that screaming. More beer bought to quench that thirsty throat.
As I sat listening to the music, I am simply wondering why was I there amidst all these noise and darkness when I could be home enjoying a quiet evening in front of my laptop watching all my downloaded movies. Alas, I thought to myself. I came because it's 'cool' to experience places like clubs or pubs. Again, what is the meaing of 'cool'?
As I sat and ponder, I wanted to go home to the quiet and peace of the home environment.
And yes, after 3 hours of noisy noise, I say I wanted to go home. And home I went.

My 1st post
This is my first time blogging. Don't really believe in blogging, however, if it is able to generate income, why not.
People, welcome to my blog. Am a 1st timer, hence, will be slow in posting. I need the spider to read some useful information so that income may come....
Today's been interesting for me. Replied alot of work email in super quick time. Had good and expensive dinner with son and husband. Was good, costly though. Took a short walk round mall at VivoCity, boy it sure cost me. Bought wireless equipment, looks really cool and interesting.
I recently watched the movie Serendipity and really liked it. John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale were good on the show. After that, searched through for John Cusack's and Kate Beckinsale's movies on the internet. Will tell you more when I see a good movie.
